Clothe yourself in kindness

Katherine Bodmer Blog

Last week Saturday I had the Fancy Flamingos over for some cookies, juice and to chat about kindness. In Corinthians3:12 it says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” I based the bible study with the girls on this verse. We discussed what it’s like when people are kind to them and how they can practically be kind to other people whether it’s with words, actions, our attitude and even out thoughts. After some lengthy chats on kindness I got them to dress each other up and explained how […]

Racing cars

This weekend we got invited to Durick’s first birthday. It was such an honor to be invited to his party and to apart of the celebration on Saturday. After I received the invitation I messaged his mom, Vanessa and asked if she would like me to make something and when she said yes I decided on racing cars. All first, second and third birthdays should have these at them… even when you’re an adult. I think I’ll talk David into having a racing car themed birthday next year so I can make them again. The words we use…

Katherine Bodmer blog A little bit of crazy

One of my favourite things about running is how God often uses it as a time to point something out to me that is usually a challenge. A couple of weeks ago while running on the Constantia Greenbelt God asked me if the words I use when speaking to people speak life. I was like… “not always”. The end of a chapter

Sometimes farewells are hard, a lot harder than you think they’re going to be but cake always makes it a little easier… Today was my last day at Wynand Wilsenach Architects, saying good bye to the people I’ve worked with for almost five years was a little bit harder than I thought it would be. It’s crazy to think that I’ve spent a huge chunk of my day with the people working there each day and now it’s over. I really have been blessed by some of the people in the office but it’s time for a new chapter. Earlier […]

Chocolate Grain Free Muesli

A little bit of crazy_In the kitchen_recipe

Every once in a while I get a bit “egged out” and want to eat something else for breakfast besides eggs. The other day I found a recipe for chocolate grain free muesli on Ditch The Carbs. I had all the ingredients at home so I though that I would give it a try. It’s really good with yogurt and berries or paw-paw. INGREDIENTS 50g coconut oil ⅛ cup cocoa powder 2 tbs Xylotol 1 tsp cinnamon 400g desiccated/shredded coconut thread/chips 100g pumpkin seeds 100g sunflower seeds 100g chopped almonds 100g walnut pieces 75g   flaxseeds/linseeds *I buy a ready […]
